UNTITLED

A bird
Played and stirred
Quietly
In a darkened room
With sounds
Of thrills
Perhaps
The unknown
Bound
For its own
Safety,
I just looked
Watched
And served…

Didn’t know
How the hues
Of those special
Painful colors
Entice
The mind
Humility’s
Graciousness
Flows
Like blood
Causing surgations,
As my bird
Began
To sing
To me…

Still
It remained captive
Knowing
At any time
It could be free
Its wings intact,
Its will, strong
My bird remains still
Breathing
Perched
Before me
Now I know
How colors of bliss
Are born
To the satisfaction
Of whims,
Rejuvenating needs
Of voracious honor,
I fell to my knees
Giving back
Which has been
Given me,
Like my bird
I sing…
I sing for my bird!!!
